Friends save a 19-year-old shelter dog to help her complete her bucket list while she still has time
A Dallas shelter received a surrendered dog that was 19 years old. The only information the shelter had from the individuals who dropped Annie off was that the 19-year-old black Labrador mix with silver fur had stopped eating and walking. Lauren Siler saw a picture of Annie shortly after she arrived at the Dallas Animal Services shelter as she was getting ready to board a plane. Lauren told WFAA, "I saw her adorable little face sitting in her terrible little kennel." She enquired of her roommate and friend Lisa, who had previously fostered (kittens), what she thought of Annie. When she displayed Annie's photo to Lisa, Lisa remarked, "We need her."
