Friends save a 19-year-old shelter dog to help her complete her bucket list while she still has time

A Dallas shelter received a surrendered dog that was 19 years old. The only information the shelter had from the individuals who dropped Annie off was that the 19-year-old black Labrador mix with silver fur had stopped eating and walking.

Lauren Siler saw a picture of Annie shortly after she arrived at the Dallas Animal Services shelter as she was getting ready to board a plane.

Lauren told WFAA, "I saw her adorable little face sitting in her terrible little kennel." She enquired of her roommate and friend Lisa, who had previously fostered (kittens), what she thought of Annie. When she displayed Annie's photo to Lisa, Lisa remarked, "We need her."

With The Powerful Rescue's assistance, they made plans to pick up Annie, and they brought her home with the intention of giving the dog as much joy as possible in her remaining days.

They were informed that Annie probably only had a month to live when they picked her up, so they wasted no time in trying to get to know her preferences and come up with a wish list. Those were four months ago. There is no doubt that Annie is enjoying every one of her adventures.

Both of the pals claim they have no plans to quit indulging Annie. There is no lack of things to put on Annie's bucket list because so many of her Instagram pals are spoiling her and making recommendations.

But occasionally Annie just relishes the small things. This girl loves to sit in the sunshine, roll about on the grass, and be nosy on neighborhood stroller walks, as Lauren shared.

Annie is undoubtedly receiving excellent care. It's fantastic that she may spend the rest of her days in a place where she feels safe and cherished.
