"I didn't care about the shoes; I cared about him," said the employee at the liquor shop

An employee at a liquor shop is being praised after her decent deed towards a homeless guy was captured on camera and posted on social media.

Leia Thomas, aka "Ace," hasn't been employed at Brooklyn Center Liquor in Minnesota for very long. But she reacted when a homeless guy entered the shop in need of cardboard boxes for his feet.

"Everyone is aware that December can be an extremely chilly month in Minnesota. A homeless man entered the business asking for boxes that he might use as temporary shoes, the liquor store's owner revealed in a Facebook post. The man can be seen wearing cardboard shoes in a picture taken by the store's security camera.

Thomas walked over to the homeless man who was searching among the garbage for boxes outside the store. She enquired about his shoe size, and when she saw that they were the same as hers, she offered him her shoes.

"These weren't your typical sneakers, however. Since Ace loved the Minnesota Vikings, she handed the man her favourite pair of purple Nike Air Jordans without any hesitation, the store's owner stated. "This is a real demonstration of kindness, empathy, and festive pleasure. A tale like this over the holidays may be appreciated by anyone.

"We commend Ace for her selflessness and her willingness to help people in need," the shop continued.

But Thomas' generosity wasn't unnoticed. The sneaker company Nice Kicks shared a follow-up photo on Instagram @nicekicks of Thomas grinning and holding up a fresh pair of the customised Nike Air Jordans. However, how did that happen?

The bespoke Nikes' designer, Mache, reacted as follows:

Good things do come to good people, and when I learned of Thomas's altruistic gesture the previous week, my Minnesotan friend Ryan Rhody struck me and asked, "So what are we doing? " It seemed only fair to make Ace a new pair of Jordans after she gave up her Vikings purple ones.

Ryan surprised her at work earlier today with not just these shoes but also some additional surprises when I overnighted these custom 7s to Minnesota. I want to thank you one again, Ace, for being fantastic.
