A touching video of a baby langur with pumpkin-colored hair has appeared online and is currently going viral. The adorable video of the little langur and its parents was shared by Saint Louis Zoo on their official Facebook page on Friday.
"It's not a ruse! We present with you Rhubarb, the newest and prettiest newborn with pumpkin-colored hair, just in time for Halloween "when sharing the post, the zoo stated.

The article claims that on September 30, mother Dolly and father Deshi gave birth to a female Francois' langur in Primate Canopy Trails at the Saint Louis Zoo. The birth of Rhubarb, the first Francois' langur to be born at the Saint Louis Zoo, is significant for this endangered species.

The message further stated that Dolly and Rhubarb share a tight bond and that Dolly is dedicated to providing for its youngster. Since the langur family is occupying the concealed area of the ecosystem, they could not be noticeable.

Aquariums and Zoos Association Rhubarb's birth has been added to the Francois' Langur Species Survival Plan, which is in charge of maintaining a genetically sound population of Francois' langurs in North American zoos. The message said, "It's a tremendous achievement for both the zoo and this species.

More than 2,700 people have liked the video and it has earned over 47,000 views. Many users have left sincere comments in the post's comment section praising the lovely langur's looks.

"She is really cute, and it appears like she has a small patch of darker hair in the back. Will her pumpkin-colored skin tone alter? Good and lovely Mom Dolly, "one user remarked.

Another person said, "We like viewing the Francois Langurs in their natural environment along the canopy walk! It will be fantastic to see Rhubarb begin to investigate it!"

The Saint Louis Zoo's official YouTube account also published a video on Friday with the message, "Meet Rhubarb, the newest Francois' langur baby."

The rare Francois' langur lives in the tropical woodlands of southeast Asia, according to a press statement from the zoo. They are social creatures that inhabit trees and are frequently observed in groups of families. According to estimates, more than half of all Francois' langurs in the wild have disappeared during the past several decades. The two greatest threats to this species are habitat degradation and human hunting.
